MEET THE TEAM
INSTRUCTORS
Chris & Kellie Arndt

Head Instructor Sensei Chris started training Karate when he was just eight years old, along with his dad and brother. This beginning galvanized for him the power of families training together. Chris is constantly training, seeking new ways to push himself, and firmly believes in training alongside his students whenever possible.
Sensei Chris holds the rank of 3rd degree blackbelt, and in 2017 became the Idaho State Instructor in the Christian Karate Association. He is also a certified Judge with USA Karate, the governing body for US Olympic Karate in the US, and is an active competitor as well. While appreciating the value of competition, he also keeps his students rooted in the practicality of Shotokan Karate for self defense.

Sensei Kellie began training Karate after she started dating Sensei Chris, and had achieved her Orange belt by the time they got married. The personal challenge and achievement, heightened confidence, self awareness, and personal athleticism offered in Christian Karate is a lifestyle that both Chris and Kellie are passionate about sharing with families and individuals in their community.
Holding the rank of 1st Degree Black Belt, Kellie is the Assistant Head Instructor of the CDA Dojo. Kellie also competes, and was a Regional Gold Medalist in the 2016 Seattle National Qualifiers.
Together, Sensei Chris and Sensei Kellie love hiking, shooting, hunting, trailrunning, Spartan Racing, bacon, reading, training, and finding new ways to push themselves mentally and physically while raising their three awesome kids.
